Ok, so with an influx of Christmas funds I have some choosing to do... Except I'm torn between four different ways to blow it lol.
1) ICS AK74 (will use as project gun later) - $200
2) Marui Mp7a1 (I'll buy used, since I don't feel like buying all that stuff new, plus it depreciates significantly) - $220
3) High Speed Gear Inc. (HSGI) Weesatch plate carrier (1337ness) - $185
4) Guarder Commander Vest (HSGI Weesatch replica, pretty good one at that) and some other stuff (Magnum motor? more G36 mags?) - $192

Oh I know about ICS junk. I've opened their AK's and it's just a regular v.3 mechbox. Marui parts and stuff are compatable. I plan on popping in a stock marui piston and pistonhead set (because those parts on the ICS seemed really weak like the CA's).
I wouldn't touch one of their AR or mp5's...

keep in mind this is from their older line of guns, and i cant give an opinion of the new stuff. but ics mp5's were the only guns that would not except parts from marui or ca. they looked identical and we could never figure out why. i remember the saying for ics was you open it up for one problem and another will come up. though the only bad thing i've heard about the new ics guns when comes to upgrading is they dont get the same compression as expected like marui or ca guns.

And yeah, I went to AEX today and got the Weesatch Replica... lol

Thats cool, i would like to learn but prefer to have AEX just do it for me. I tried to clean my old AK and well stripped almost everything that could be stripped in the gear box so ya, how did u learn? Just taken the gear box apart and watching the movies?
